Testimonials

Tuck Lovers

  • I took the Yin class and I loved it. The instructor, Callie, was wonderful and it was a very relaxing class… I would consider myself a beginner (and I am pregnant), so it was excellent that Callie made everyone feel comfortable by suggesting a range of modified positions. The yoga studio is a beautiful space, and it’s in a great location

    - A.J.

  • Great studio and the perfect addition to the Point Breeze neighborhood. The owners are friendly and the classes are fantastic. Every instructor I’ve encountered is knowledgeable and true to the art of yoga. I highly recommend it!

    - Alyssa

  • Great variety of classes, great price compared to other studios in Philly! The small studio makes it feel so much more personal and gives a community feel that other Philly studios don’t always have. Callie is amazing and sometimes brings her cutie doggos in too.

    - Autumn G.

  • I don’t usually practice yoga, but at the insistence of my wife I gave this new place a shot. I was pleasantly surprised! Great venue, great instructor. Will definitely go back, I’m sure my right hip will thank me for it in the long run.

    - Gorka

  • I love this place! I am a total yoga/barre novice and was nervous to attend classes but they made me feel so welcome and capable! I have always had great experiences with the instructors and classes. Pro tip – if you can get in there on a day they’re doing Yoga with Pigs, it’s a total game changer!

    - Jenna B.

  • This place is amazing. I feel so lucky that it opened up right at the end of my block. Every teacher/every class has their own personality and all of them are quite wonderful. So many options for class times as well. Which is great for busy lives. Get on the mind body and book one for yourself. You won’t regret it!

    - Katie A.

  • I have been going here for about a month now and I love it. The Barre classes are challenging but fun! Instructors do a great job of creating a welcoming atmosphere as well!

    - Mel I.

  • Callie and the team at Tuck are so amazing. I normally don’t enjoy barre and I LOVED the class! I am also a yoga teacher as well and Callie’s yoga class was one of the best classes I’ve ever been to. The UCity location is in a great spot, conveniently located right smack dab on Drexel’s Campus. Best barre experience to date!

    - Molly P.

  • Very friendly staff and super accommodating to all levels – locations are clean, new, and give off a great vibe!

    - Nick S.

  • One of the best yoga classes I have taken! The perfect remedy for my tight muscles in this cold weather. I can’t wait to take more classes with Barbara and the other instructors. Also, the studio is gorgeous. Congrats on opening a great space!

    - Rebecca

  • A perfect barre and yoga studio for the neighborhood. I even ran from Fairmount when we moved to come here bc the instructors and people that attended class were that great. No judgment – and the barre classes were challenging but not too overwhelming. Definitely saw results and improvement after going to just a few classes. Callie is the best!

    - Suzanne M.

The world feels heavy. Times like these (which we' The world feels heavy. Times like these (which we've had much too often in recent history) make me want to isolate and hide, as the outside world feels unsafe. But as I’ve been reflecting on our collective political choices these past few months, I’ve intentionally wrapped myself in our small, moral, safe community of kind, supportive humans. Honestly, it's been a bright light in what feels like a long tunnel of darkness. And more than that, it's given me energy to keep fighting in the ways that I can.

If you’re feeling alone, please remember that pain has a way of keeping our heads down, but if we take a moment to look to our right and left, we’ll see others standing with us. It sounds cheesy, but we're with you.

That’s why we’re offering Rooted and Resilient: Yoga for a Chaotic World—free community classes for us to come together, ground ourselves, and remind each other that we are stronger when we stand side by side. Together, we’ll breathe, we’ll move, and we’ll face whatever comes our way with a little more peace, a little more strength, and a whole lot more resilience.

You don’t have to carry this heaviness alone, and you deserve to care for yourself so you can show up in whatever way is most impactful. We’re here to remind you that people are still good and that the heaviness feels lighter when we allow others to help us carry it 💚

🗓️ Classes held on Saturdays at 4 pm for the next 4 weeks at both 2235 Washington Ave and 518 S. 7th St

Our High Five for '25 Challenge starts Monday, Jan Our High Five for '25 Challenge starts Monday, January 6th! The holidays can be so magical ✨️ and we hope you have savored big celebrations along with quiet moments of joy and gratitude. But we all know that holiday magic comes at a cost, and at least for me, this year, I had very little time and energy for my own self care and routine. And omg, I miss feeling like myself 🫠

Getting back to feeling in rhythm doesn't have to be overwhelming! Our January Challenge encourages us to come back to ourselves and move in ways to support our bodies. We will help you build a sustainable, consistent practice with five classes each week. In every class, we meet you exactly where you are and encourage you to listen to what your body and your mind need that day. It seems so simple, but there's so much magic in simple ✨️

To join, add your name to the tracking chart in studio! (I'll post those on Friday when I take down the holiday decorations 😪😭)

Entrepreneur Magazine recognized us as one of the Entrepreneur Magazine recognized us as one of the "top 150 most beloved small businesses" in America. We are over the moon about this (please pinch us because we must be dreaming?!). But we have to start by thanking you - a sincere, heartfelt thank you for all of your support over the years. We are so grateful and honored that you spend your time and energy with us, and we couldn't be prouder of this beautiful community we have. You lift us up and remind us every day that people are good, a gift we so desperately need.

Who knew a little movement studio built - not on maximizing profit - but on maximizing connection and healing could make it for 7 years and be a success in this capitalistic hellscape. It's ironic, and counterintuitive to what we hear about the "free market," but treating people with care, understanding, and acceptance can be both the morally right thing to do and a successful business practice. We don't need to make people feel less than to provide a valuable service - we are here to remind you how magical and strong we all already are. We don't need to invent insecurities and nickel and dime each other. And while we've grown since our early days and our tiny sunny corner studio on 20th and Federal, our morals, values, and hearts are still the same. And we promise we won't change (even if fancy national magazines write about us 😎)

And to our teachers, the heartbeat of Tuck - I'm so grateful for all of the work that you do to help all of us heal. You are magic ✨️

Thank you ❤️

Not pictured: Kate and Hagana but they deserve all the congrats too!
