Before Your First Class
How early should I arrive?
10 minutes before class. The studio opens 15 minutes before class so you have time to check in, store your things, and settle in.
About our door policy: Studio doors lock at class start time for everyone’s safety, and we don’t permit late entries. Between clients, doors also stay locked for safety, so when you arrive, please ring the bell, and we’ll let you in!
Do I need to sign up in advance?
Yes, advance registration is required. Most classes are full with waitlists so registering in advance ensures you have a spot.
How can I book, buy or cancel class bookings?
We recommend downloading our app (search your app store for tuck barre and yoga) and using that to book/buy/cancel classes. If you prefer not to download, please navigate to our site here and log in to cancel.
I’ve never tried barre, yoga, or Pilates. Will I be lost?
No. Our classes are designed to be accessible at every level, and our teachers offer variations throughout class so you can choose what feels right for your body that day. You’ll often see other folks in class doing different versions of the same exercise, that’s by design.
If it’s your first time, please arrive early and introduce yourself to your instructor. Sharing a little about your movement history, or any injuries, helps them to look out for you in class.
What should I bring?
Just a water bottle. We have a refill station at every studio.
For yoga, we have mats available, but many students prefer to bring their own. For barre and Pilates, we provide thick mats for you to use.
What do the fire emojis next to class names mean?
The fire emojis indicate intensity:
🔥Best for beginners or anyone wanting a slower, more accessible class
🔥🔥 All levels
🔥🔥🔥 More intense, recommended for folks with more experience
The same class type can feel different depending on the instructor, so please rely on the emoji indicators!
Booking and Cancellations
How do I book a class?
The easiest way is through the Tuck app (search your app store for Tuck Barre and Yoga). You can also book through our website, tuckbarreyoga.com, or by navigating to backoffice.bsport.io.
How do I cancel?
Same places. Open the tuck app or go to backoffice.bsport.io, log in, find your booking, and cancel. We kindly ask that you cancel at least 12 hours prior to the start of class to avoid a late cancellation penalty.
What’s the late cancellation policy?
We kindly ask that you cancel at least 12 hours prior to the start of class. Cancellations within 12 hours of class, or no-shows, are subject to a late cancel penalty ($15 fee for unlimited passes or one class credit if using a class card).
The system automatically gives you one freebie late cancel. Beyond that, we are not able to make exceptions to this policy. We do this to help manage class waitlists and ensure everyone gets to take class.
Can I get on a waitlist?
Yes. If a class is full, the app will offer to add you to the waitlist. If a spot opens up, you’ll be notified and automatically added to the class.
Can I pause or freeze my membership?
Yes. Autopay memberships can be paused once per year for up to 3 months. Email us at tuckbarreyoga@gmail.com with your account info and the dates you’d like to freeze, and we’ll set you up. Please note you must email us *before* your pause start date, and no retroactive pauses are allowed.
Do class cards expire?
Class cards expire 3 years from the date of purchase. We want you to use what you’ve paid for.
Can I share my membership or class card?
Autopay memberships are tied to a single account and can’t be shared. Class cards may be shared with another person, but you will need to email us so that we can associate the two accounts.
The exception is our Household Unlimited membership, which covers two people in the same household.
Memberships and Pricing
Do you offer new client specials?
Yes. A two-week unlimited pass for $49 and a single drop-in class for $15. You may purchase each pass one time.
Can I use my membership at multiple studios?
Memberships and class cards purchased for our Graduate Hospital and Wash West studios work at both locations
Northern Liberties is separately owned by Alex and Mary and uses a separate pass system. A NoLibs pass only works at NoLibs, and a GradHo or Wash West pass works only at those two locations
Do you offer student or community discounts?
We do. Please email us to to see if you are eligible.
We also run free community classes throughout the year, including our Summer Friday series and Tuck Social Club events. Follow us on instagram or sign up for our newsletter to hear more.
Classes and Private Sessions
What’s the difference between your class types?
We offer barre, yoga, mat Pilates, and rebounder classes. Full descriptions can be found on our Class Descriptions page.
Are classes heated?
No. Our classes are not heated.
Do you offer private classes?
Yes! We offer private classes for individuals and groups. Great for celebrating special occasions or working towards a specific goal. Email us at tuckbarreyoga@gmail.com to set one up!
Special Situations
I’m pregnant. Can I take classes?
We recommend talking with your physician before starting any new exercise program. Once you have the okay, you’re welcome in any class. We have pregnancies in nearly every class and are very supportive in guiding you through your practice, even in an all-levels class.
Please tell your teacher you’re pregnant before class starts so they can offer modifications and let you know what to skip.
We also run Prenatal Yoga classes at our Graduate Hospital and Wash West studios. Please check the schedule for current dates.
Can I bring my child to class?
For safety, students must be at least 16 years old to attend class (with a parent) or 18+ to attend regular classes on their own.
We frequently host kid-friendly pop-ups throughout the year. Keep an eye on our schedule or instagram for upcoming classes.
