I’ve never tried yoga or barre. Can I come to any class?
Yes! We take great care to ensure that our classes are accessible to all levels. We offer variations throughout class and encourage you to take whatever option feels best for you that day. You may notice that folks are doing different exercises in class – that is OK!
If you feel comfortable sharing, we recommend talking with your teacher before class to discuss how your body is feeling and your exercise history.
Do I need to sign up in advance?
Yes, advance registration is required. Most classes are full with waitlists so registering in advance ensures you have a spot.
how can I book, buy or cancel class bookings?
We recommend downloading our app (search your app store for tuck barre and yoga) and using that to book/buy/cancel classes. If you prefer not to download, please navigate to our site here and log in to cancel.
Is the studio open all of the time? When should I arrive?
The studio opens 15 minutes before each class. Please try to arrive at least 10 minutes before class starts. We lock the studio during class, so the door locks when class begins. We know that life gets in the way, and some days, it can be hard to get to class on time. However, we have to start class on time and late entries are distracting for other clients. We cannot offer refunds if you miss class due to being locked out, so please please please arrive early!
What should I bring?
You should bring your own water bottle as the studios no longer offer single-use plastic. In addition, we strongly recommend bringing your own mat for yoga classes, although we have mats if you are in a pinch and need to borrow one. We offer thick Pilates mats to use during our barre classes, but you are welcome to BYOM if you prefer.
Does tuck have cancellation fees? Ugh, I hate cancellation fees.
Unfortunately, given that many classes have waitlists, we have to enforce our late cancelation policy. We will charge you a “late cancellation” fee ($15 for unlimited passes, or one class off of your class card) if you cancel within 12 hours of a class or no show. If you do not like this policy, we strongly recommend that you wait to sign up until you are certain you can attend class. The system gives you one “freebie” late cancel, but beyond that, we are not able to accommodate exceptions to this policy.
Do class cards expire?
No! Well, technically they expire 3 years from the date of purchase because our system won’t allow us to extend it any longer, but 3 years is a long time. We want you to use what you pay for and come when you can.
I’m pregnant. Can I practice yoga or take barre classes?
We encourage you to talk to your doctor before starting any exercise program. After getting the OK from your doctor, feel free to try any class and let the instructor know beforehand that you are pregnant. The instructor will let you know what modifications will work for you or what poses/exercises to avoid.
Do I have to wear certain clothes to yoga or barre?
Absolutely not. Wear what you are comfortable in. There’s no uniform here!
I want to buy a membership for multiple studios. Is that possible?
Our Northern Liberties is separately owned by the lovely Kate and requires its own pass. Meaning pass at Northern Liberties -> used only at Northern Liberties. And pass at Wash West and Point Breeze -> used only at Wash West and Point Breeze.
