Love this class! My only question is – whenever I am doing the thigh squeezes, I feel like I’m awkwardly squeezing my knees together – but is that what I’m supposed to feel? Don’t get me wrong, my thighs are definitely touching, but I’m not feeling an inner thigh muscle activation, but I’m sure I’ll feel it tomorrow!

Yay, glad you liked the class! Warning: long answer ahead! It’s completely normal for it to feel like your knees are squeezing together because they are! It’s also totally normal to not feel that inner thigh activation so acutely. I use that queue of “squeezing everything together” to a) take any pain out of your knees when you are straightening your legs and b) to try to get people to engage their inner thighs, glutes and pelvic floor in the exercise. Another “trick” you could try is to imagine you have a squishy ball between your thighs that you are squeezing and trying to pop forward. Basically anything to get your mind to go to those areas I mentioned above. A few notes: If you feel any pain in the knees I would suggest not using any props and putting your heels on the floor. If you don’t like legs together you could also do this exercise with your legs hips width distance apart. Hope that is the rambling explanation that you wanted 🙂
