Barre Teacher Training
I HIGHLY recommend tuck’s barre teacher training program. I loved the training because Callie helped me hone my barre teaching style by showing different ways and styles that I could teach and by helping me learn creative and effective sequences. We spent a lot of time going over technique, alignment and modifications in detail so I was comfortable leading a group of students with diverse exercise backgrounds/experience. She focused on teaching me how to teach, not just teaching me exercises.
All of the feedback was constructive and conveyed in a positive, supportive manner. I felt encouraged the entire way, even when it was difficult. Callie took all the time necessary to help me strengthen my weaknesses so that I felt comfortable and confident when I taught a room full of students. I loved the training, not to mention the awesome community at tuck! I highly recommend!

Teaching barre (and other exercise) is much more than counting for the class. Our training focuses on teaching you how to teach, with an emphasis on form, adjustments, modifications, and building a large repertoire of exercises. Teaching is a skill, and we give you the practice, tools, and most importantly, the confidence to fully develop that skill. You will leave our training with the self-esteem of expertise – we guarantee it.
Each trainee receives a teaching manual, and for three months following training, each trainee has access to a library of videos with effective sequences, cueing tips, and new exercises.
Our next teacher training is being held at our Point Breeze studio on August 4-5 and 11-12 from 1:30 – 5 pm each day. You will also need to schedule a mock class to receive individualized, realtime cue assistance.
