Kate began her barre journey while spending a year abroad in New Zealand, where she trained and started teaching. Back in Philly, she returned to her job as a high school French teacher and looked for an opportunity to continue teaching barre, as long as she could find a studio where she felt at home. The moment she stumbled upon Tuck, she knew she had found her people.
Kate teaches high-energy barre classes that focus on form and challenge you to safely push your limits, while feeling the burn, embracing the shakes and getting your heart pumping. Ever enthusiastic, Kate’s classes are filled with laughter, groans, and an opportunity to affirm your status as an absolute badass.
Inspired and empowered by the community Callie and Hagana have built – an inclusive studio filled with supportive, happy people – she jumped at the chance to play a larger role. Kate is honored to own a Tuck and share a piece of this happy place with her neighbors.
She fills her barre-free time with her husband (who does something vaguely medical and can seriously rock some spandex), the sassiest little babe on this side of the Delaware, and a majestic floof named Wellington.
