Many years ago, Corey sought out yoga simply from curiosity. What she found was a practice that she fell head first in love with, gave her tremendous empowerment, and deep healing. In 2013, Corey completed her 200 hour Yoga Teaching Training and Certification from Charm City Yoga, in Baltimore, MD; where she also trained, as an apprentice, in leading Mysore-style practices (a branch of ashtanga yoga). Corey has been teaching yoga since 2014. Corey believes that yoga is for everyone that wishes to practice, and can teach the balancing lessons of self-acceptance and love, alongside the commitment to your own evolution. Corey’s vinyasa classes prioritize the tristana method: linking breath, movement, and gaze, in order to find the moving meditation. Corey aims for her classes to be both invigorating and grounding. When Corey isn’t practicing or teaching yoga, she participates in social justice activism, cooking vegan food, and being a dedicated bookworm.
