Another great one!
Blog question: I would have created a literacy blog, I’m a children’s’ librarian so I’m all for promoting literacy and early literacy tips…side note for all the new moms who have babies who put board books in their mouths and then you quickly pull the book away…it’s okay. Eating books is an early form of literacy. As we get older we stop using all of our senses to explore and read because we are taught it’s undignified. (Although, as a Librarian,I highly discourage eating books as adults, I’ve seen people do unimaginable things with books). Babies, don’t stop using their sense and they are still exploring and they are exploring the book in ways they are familiar…with their mouth and the rest of their senses. We wipe down the board books when they are returned to the library, so unless it’s falling apart or frayed, let them have that book as a snack
… Enjoy your Monday!
