First (and most importantly), this may be my new favorite class. Loved the big movements for the standing portion, and thought the core and butt work on the mat was perfect – the class just flew by but I was dripping sweat (with no cardio!) and it was really challenging.
But I have to say WOW to the bestest most wonderful shout out ever! I have been doing Tuck barre 2-3 times a week since September 2019 and I have never been so strong in my whole life. Your comments about my form made me so happy and so proud, considering I just turned 50 in June. Joanne has been trying to get me to come to more live classes, and although I am quite addicted to the convenience of the online classes, I’m sure I pushed myself harder knowing you were watching!
I remember my very first class (Callie was the teacher) and I was so self conscious and could barely do a single lunge and you made me feel so comfortable and unashamed that I kept coming back. Now I am pretty proud of my ability to get through most classes (OK, I still drop my weights and take “Bodie breaks” (remember those?) when I need to), but I see all the muscle definition in my arms, legs, back, abs, and it’s all thanks to you guys. Love this community!

Every time…I repeat every time I see Callie start with that “ put you leg at that angle” I know pretzel is coming and I curse the days that follow were my butt feels the joy and pain.
Totally took this the second time around thinking “I got this whole thing!”….I got about half of it
. I think this segment should not be called small…I’m sweating all over.
Side note: what was the cracking noise?

Honestly dripping in sweat after this one. I was feeling a bit flat before I started and you cheered me up completely. Thank you for being you Callie – you’re a super human.
Also can I say F*$K that person on Class Pass – their response to class is a reflection of their unhappiness and is a projection of something inside of them. Also when you’ve created a positive, inclusive community like Tuck the haters are going to come of the woodwork just because, for some, it is cool or fun to talk shite about people. I hope you can ban them from class because I would. Take that nastiness down the road.
And on that note – I want to do a IRL class – we need to get this European Barre happening!!!

100% IN for a euro barre retreat! Would be SO fun. If you know of any good airbnbs or small resorts… maybe spring 2023??

Amazing – I will have a proper google and see what options there might be. I am connected to a few studios in Europe too so there might be scope for using a studio.
Switzerland is the place of DREAMS! OMG we went to Geneva then took the interrail across country to Bern, Zurich and lots of little towns. It is incredible – however just for reference 3 small drinks from starbucks cost us the equivalent of £26 and its about £15 for a McDonalds hahahaha. So SAVE your pennies first. Its all worth it though.
Any places in Europe that you would love to see other than Switzerland and I will have a search

Instead of rooftop barre this morning (c’mon Ian
), I had breakfast with my friends (who were planning to go to barre too), then came home and took this class. I got sweaty and felt my muscles burn and it was awesome. Callie, I have a similar problem with letting peoples’ joy-killing comments stay with and affect me for far too long. My dad once told me, which his dad told him: don’t let them live rent free in your head. They aren’t worth it!! You rock, your teachers rock, Tuck rocks, and I’m thankful for being part of this community
