Why People Love Barre Teacher Training

All of the feedback was constructive and conveyed in a positive, supportive manner. I felt encouraged the entire way, even when it was difficult. Callie took all the time necessary to help me strengthen my weaknesses so that I felt comfortable and confident when I taught a room full of students. I loved the training, not to mention the awesome community at Tuck! I highly recommend!

Teacher training at Tuck was really beneficial for me. I was nervous because I had never taught exercise before but the training left me with a better sense of myself, more confidence and the ability to make creative classes on my own. Callie is an encouraging teacher and is always looking to help you get better - that doesn't stop when the training is over. You won't regret taking this training - it will help you in all aspects of your life!

Frequently Asked Questions

We know barre teacher training can be anxiety-inducing. We're here to ease your fears!

What Do I Need to Bring to Barre Teacher Training?

Yourself, a snack, water and some energy! We'll provide you with the training materials you'll need. If you really like to take notes you might also want to bring a notebook.

I've never taught exercise before. Can I still take the training?

Yes! Even if you've never taught an exercise class before, we encourage you to step out of your comfort zone. You'll be surprised how much of teaching is part of your every day life (connecting to people, public speaking) and the rest you'll learn as you go!

I've never tried barre. What do I need to know?

Not much! Barre is a low impact strength and toning exercise that will make you work muscles you didn't even know you had. It's not easy, so expect to sweat and work hard. You should take at least 10 barre classes before you start your training. That way you get an idea of barre exercises and how teachers teach in class.

Where does the training take place?

Training will take place at our West Philly studio located at 3400 Lancaster Avenue, Suite #6 in Philadelphia (right next to Insomnia Cookies).

What if I can't make all the dates for training?

We require you to be present for all four days (two weekends) of training in order to receive a certification. If you have an emergency (they happen!) we can transfer your teacher training to the next time we train. Unfortunately we can't reschedule an individual training day just for one person.

***Please note that we reserve the right not to issue a certification to any person who we do not feel is prepared to teach safe and effective barre classes. We refund half of the cost of training and allow you to take training again for half price in the event a certification is not issued.
