Who is tuck? Why should you spend your money with us?
We know you have a lot of options for at home fitness and we want you to feel really good that you would spend your hard-earned dollars with us.
We help people change their relationship with their bodies. We focus on how we feel during and after exercise, not how we look. Health and fitness does not have a certain look, and workouts reflect that.
Accessible for All
Our pricing is accessible ($9.99 per month), as are our classes. We take pride in offering classes that work for all bodies.
We have the best (and real) teachers
All of our teachers have taught thousands of people and they have a thorough understanding of variations and options that will work for you.
2020 has been a tough year for so many reasons. While “re-opening” happened for some, we could not in good conscience do the same for tuck. Tuck has always been about our values, health, and wellness, and we would rather lose the business rather than get a single client or teacher sick.
The day after we closed, we immediately began offering a full schedule of free livestreamed classes on facebook live (while we continued to pay our teachers). We knew that, if there was ever a time people needed access to healing movement, this was it. We never even considered charging for it, especially after seeing the weekly unemployment rolls. Maybe this was a financial mistake, but we don’t regret it for a second.
How tuck online was born
Our workouts were shared around the world and so we created this platform to make our method of accessible and inclusive classes easier to take online for people all over the world.
We are still a small team, but we are mighty and we always respond to you quickly!
I’m new to exercise. Can I take any class?
YES! We know that every body is different, and we work so hard to ensure all of our classes are truly for all levels. Our instructors offer variations for all levels throughout class so that you are able to find an exercise that works for your body, on that day. Don’t be nervous or feel intimidated – you can do this!
Is there jumping? What if I have issues with my joints? (knees, etc.,)
Many of our clients have issues with joints and they successfully take our classes.
90% of our classes are completely low impact.
Occasionally we may offer a higher impact option, but we always offer an alternative low impact option that will work for you.
Barre and yoga are excellent lifelong exercise programs.
What is Tuck Online?
Tuck Online is a platform of on-demand barre workouts and yoga classes.
In barre, we give your heart a workout – we move slow, and we move fast, all while keeping our feet on the floor to give you an effective low-impact workout. We mix in functional movements and isometric exercises to strengthen and tone your entire body – you will feel muscles you never knew existed.
Our featured yoga classes, “untuck”, are the perfect complement to our barre workouts. These classes restore your body and mind – we focus on longer-held, passive poses to increase flexibility, range of motion and self compassion.
Can I stream to my device?
For the Workout Challenge, all videos are on Vimeo so you have a lot of options for streaming:

Streaming on your Tablet or Smart Phone
You can open the email link on your phone using your default web browser to stream from your phone.
Alternatively, you can download and save the Vimeo app to your phone:
Streaming to your Smart TV
The Vimeo App (you must sign up with an email address) is available for the popular smart TV platforms (Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire, Chromecast). You can check here on the vimeo help center to see if your Smart TV version is supported.
In order to easily find the videos (they are unlisted) you will have to join vimeo, and add the video you want to stream to your Watch List or Liked Videos while logged in our your web browser. Then it will show up in your Smart TV Vimeo App interface. The steps:
- Register on vimeo.com with your email and password.
- Log into Vimeo.com on your web browser.
- Open your workout challenge links from our emails and add to “watch later” (or “like”) in your web browser.
- Navigate to your Smart TV’s app for Vimeo > Library when logged in to your Vimeo account
- Choose your video to watch!
Alternatively, you can stream from your computer’s Chrome browser extension if you have a Chromecast.
Streaming to your regular TV
If you have an HDMI connector and port on your laptop computer and TV, you can play from your computer on your TV monitor.
What if I’m pregnant or just had a baby?
We strongly recommend that you talk with your doctor about what is appropriate for you. Everyone is different, and every pregnancy is different! While continuing a program of exercise during/after pregnancy often can be beneficial, some modifications may be appropriate. Generally speaking, we have many pregnant clients and new moms in class – barre can be a great way to stay fit and active during your pregnancy, provided your doctor approves.
How long are your barre classes?
15, 30, and 45 typically.
We know it can be hard to find time to exercise. Our signature class is 45 minutes long, but we have classes of all types and lengths! You can drop in for a 15-minute core workout or stay for a 45-minute class. We’ve designed our classes with your schedules in mind – we know life can be hectic, so you have plenty of options that fit into your days.
Do I need special equipment?
No! No special equipment required.
We know that most people don’t have resistance bands, yoga blocks, and sponge balls at home. We always offer you household alternatives – grab some canned goods if you don’t have weights, pick up a paper towel roll to use instead of a ball, and get an old pair of leggings or long johns if you don’t have a resistance band.
If you’d like to buy barre equipment, we have a barre box for $49 and we ship immediately to your door via USPS.
What about refunds?
We do not allow refunds for any reason.
If you would like to not receive workout challenge emails, you can click “unsubscribe” at the bottom of any email.
If you are a Tuck Online member and would like to cancel your account, please log in to your account (https://tuckbarreyoga.com/account) and click “cancel” under the “subscriptions” tab.

I’m strapped for cash. Do you have any free classes?
With nearly 40 million Americans unemployed, we are sensitive to those who don’t have a lot of cash. We offer completely free digital classes online via Facebook Live every Friday at 12:15pm EST.

I tend to get all sorts of joint problems and Tuck online has been super great about that!
The fact that you all offered and CONTINUE to offer free classes in order to improve your community’s mental wellness throughout this pandemic speaks volumes about your commitment to our well-being! Access to wellness activities should be universal, not only limited to those who can pay up. I really appreciate that you recognize and enable that.

The community is great. Even online, Tuck still provides a way to be inclusive and provide quality classes. Tuck online classes are so personable that it makes me feel like I am back at Wash West taking a class in person. I also love the creative fitness challenges as they are fun and motivational.
I’ve been turned off by other studios in the past that seem totally disconnected from the world around them but Tuck’s transparency when it comes to socio-political issues in addition to how you are so down to earth and keep it real in class makes me feel good about where I choose to work out!
I just need you to know I stumbled upon your channel recently and I’M OBSESSED. I used to do really difficult barre classes a number of years ago, then the studio closed and I haven’t found any since then that challenged me as much. You’re amazing! And you crack me up.
